Hey, I'm Kori
I’ve spent 20+ years in software quality across logistics, finance, health, justice, and compliance. I’ve built QA teams from nothing, stood up automation frameworks from scratch, and helped organisations reduce production defects by 85%.
These days I work as a QA consultant. I help teams figure out where their quality problems actually are, and then fix the process, not just the bugs.
I got into this work because I kept seeing the same thing everywhere. Teams treat testing like a gate at the end of a sprint instead of something woven into how they build software. It never works, it won’t scale, and definitely not when someone decides to rush something out on a Friday.
QA Test Lead
Built QA teams and automation frameworks from scratch. Reduced production defects by 85%.
Senior Test Analyst
Hands-on with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Katalon, K6, Jmeter and more, from record-playback to code-first frameworks.
Project Manager
Led full application modernisation, migrating legacy ASP to ASP.NET while maintaining quality. Leading software teams to better quality and client outcomes.
AI Enthusiast
Actively using AI to accelerate test creation, maintenance, management, and integration automation.
What I Actually Do
Most of my work sits across a few areas.
Test strategy and process.
If your team is testing everything the same way, or worse, not sure what they should be testing at all, I help you get a clear approach in place. Risk-based testing is a big part of this. Focus effort where it matters, stop burning time on low-risk areas nobody cares about.
Automation that makes sense.
I’ve worked with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Katalon, K6, and more. But I don’t push automation for the sake of it. If your team isn’t ready, or the ROI isn’t there, I’ll tell you that. When it is the right move, I help you set it up properly so it actually gets maintained after I leave.
Performance and load.
Knowing how something behaves under pressure, not just whether it works when one person clicks through it. I use K6 and Jmeter to find where things slow down or fall over under load, set a baseline, and make sure the fix actually held.
QA team building and mentoring.
I’ve built high-performing QA teams from the ground up. I’ve also walked into existing teams that were struggling and helped turn them around. If you’re hiring your first tester or trying to figure out why your current team isn’t delivering, that’s something I can help with.
AI in QA.
I’m actively working at the intersection of AI and quality, not the hype version, the practical version. How AI-generated code changes your testing approach, how to use AI tools to speed up test creation and maintenance, and where the real risks are that most teams aren’t thinking about yet.
How I Work
I’m based in Melbourne, Australia, and work remotely with teams anywhere. Engagements can be project-based, ongoing advisory, or a short sharp review to give you a clear picture of where you stand.
I also write. A lot. If you’ve landed here from one of my articles, that’s a good indicator of how I think and communicate. I don’t do jargon for the sake of it, and I don’t oversell. I’d rather give you a straight answer than a polished one.
